Elizabeth Bairoy Bagonoc is
the epitome of an ideal public official – Maka-Diyos,
Makatao, Makakalikasan, at Makabansa. Her remarkable rise from being
a broadcast media practitioner to becoming a respected civil servant
exemplifies the kind of quality work she produces and the dedication she puts
into her chosen field, whether in media or in government service.
“Ate
Beth” is a member of the 17th Council of the Sangguniang
Panlungsod of General Santos City and is the Chairperson of the Committee on
Climate Change Adaptation & Environment.
“Ate
Beth” is a devoted wife to Florencio A. Bagonoc, Jr., a businessman; a loving
mother to her four children, Mark Jon, Maureen Jan, Mark Jade and Mark Jess;
and doting grandmother to Mark Emmanuel , Mark Elazar, Mark Elijah, Mark
Ezekiel and Gianna.
“Ate
Beth” is a radio broadcast journalist, environmentalist, an advocate of
climate change and has attained numerous achievements in the fields of social
development, religious and human rights advocacies.
”Ate
Beth” started a career in radio
broadcast communication in 1972 with DXCP where she anchored various programs
notably, BETCHA MUCHACHA and earned distinction for herself as recipient of
various awards, namely;
